“We knew these two games would be decisive for passage to the next round. The coach and players know that, and I am convinced it will be more than difficult tonight,” the vice-president told Sky Sport Italia.
“The coach always chooses the players based on their form in training. We did well in recent games, achieved some important results and want to continue.
“He picked players who can hurt our opponents this evening, I am happy Alvaro Morata is back and he can give us a big hand.”
Dybala has not made the trip to St Petersburg due to injury, so Nedved was asked both about the return to fitness and the negotiations to extend his contract.
“We all hope he can be on the pitch and sign the new contract. I believe we are very close to the signature, we’re very happy. Paulo is too important for this team.”
Dybala’s contract with Juventus is currently set to expire in June 2022.
