Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved admits the unusual 4-3-3 approach from Max Allegri is ‘unexpected’, but hopes pace can trouble the Chelsea defence in the Champions League.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens on the LIVEBLOG.

“We are so fired up for a game like this, it’s just a pity the stadium cannot be completely full yet,” Nedved told JTV.

It is sold out tonight, but only at 50 per cent capacity due to COVID-19 regulations, although they will go up to 75 per cent next month.

Because Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata are injured, Juve only have one available striker, Moise Kean.

However, he is benched in favour of Federico Chiesa and Juan Cuadrado flanking False 9 Federico Bernardeschi.

“The lads are eager to do well against the champions of Europe. We realise it’ll be tough just to get a shot on target against them, as Thomas Tuchel has a well-organised side, but we will try to play with a 4-3-3 that has two very quick wingers and a centre-forward who isn’t a centre-forward,” continued Nedved.

“Allegri’s choice of line-up is unexpected, but he has it all worked out in his head and this side can cause problems for Chelsea.

“We are doing much better than two weeks ago, when the results were not yet matching the good performances. We still need to keep improving, though.”
