Pavel Nedved feels Max Allegri brought “self-belief” to Juventus in the Champions League. “Any target is achievable.”
The Bianconeri secured their spot in the Last 16 thanks to a 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid last night, but will go through in second place.
“It is a great objective we have reached and I compliment the Coach and players,” Nedved told Tuttomercatoweb.

The Bianconeri secured their spot in the Last 16 thanks to a 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid last night, but will go through in second place.
“It is a great objective we have reached and I compliment the Coach and players,” Nedved told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Going through to the next round was our real target, even if it wasn’t easy. You can see increased self-belief on the field, although of course we will need to improve. It’s all to play for.”
As they are second, Juventus will face one of the group winners in the Round of 16.
“There are four teams out there beyond our capabilities, but in football you are never beaten before the get-go. Any target is achievable: it depends on how we present ourselves.
“Allegri was very intelligent to study the side carefully and was able to change the system, a system that had brought us benefits.
“If we improve, then Juve can become a dark horse in the competition that nobody will want to face. Allegri has brought new elements, confidence, security, but no celebrations yet, as there’s a long way to go.”
Gigi Buffon performed a decisive save against Atletico Madrid, so will he soon be joining Nedved behind a desk in Turin?
“Gigi will play for a long time to come and I don’t think we’ll meet. He is very intelligent and can take on any role off the field.”
