Juventus legend Pavel Nedved believes Milos Krasic is a fitting heir to his role in the team, even though they are different kinds of players.

Krasic has settled in quickly following his arrival from CSKA Moscow in the summer, emerging as one of Juventus' best players this season.

Interviewed on Radio Dee Jay, Nedved said: "I got noticed because I was blonde. Now there is another blonde: Krasic, who is different to me, but I like him a lot.

"He has been a very shrewd signing. I hope that he goes far, like me."

Reflecting on his time as a player, the former Czech international said: "They accused me of being sulky. I don't know. I believe that I always expressed myself in a different way on the pitch to what I'm like in private. Maybe I have two faces.

"During a match, often with Rino Gattuso, a few swear words would come out. But it ended there. Remember how many insults I used to get around the grounds up and down Italy, above all at San Siro.

"It was only my job. I gave my all. It upset me a little. Anyway, it became a motivation."

Asked about Inter's attempts to sign him, Nedved said: "Jose Mourinho asked me to go to Inter in 2009. It made me happy. He is a great Coach.

"In the end, I couldn't see myself in another shirt and I stayed Juventino. Otherwise, it would have sounded like a betrayal.

"The only regret is the Champions League they won. I would exchange it for the Ballon d'Or."
