Napoli fans welcomed new signings Tanguy Ndombele, Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Simeone with a smile as they secured a 3-0 friendly win over Juve Stabia.

Luciano Spalletti was keen for the Partenopei fans to immediately meet their new players, who did not disappoint at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this evening. Veteran shot stopper Salvatore Sirigu also started, doing well as he kept a clean sheet.

The arrival of Raspadori has prompted Spalletti to try out a 4-2-3-1 system, with Simeone playing the role as Victor Osimhen’s backup for the first time.

The first half was a balanced affair between the two sides, giving the Napoli players time to warm into the friendly. Things were a little more lively in the second half, with Ndbomele, Giuseppe Ambrosino and Alessio Zerbin all finding the back of the net to secure the win.

Napoli will hopefully be feeling warmed up heading into their next game against Fiorentina on Sunday evening.

  1. Nice to see Serie A side to play friendly. I saw German teams all the time play friendlies between regular games for season.
