A serious injury to Keylor Navas could prompt PSG to dive back into the fray for free agent Gianluigi Donnarumma, battling Juventus and Barcelona.

This morning’s reports had Barcelona as the favourites for the former Milan shot-stopper, followed by Juventus, with Paris Saint-Germain keeping an eye on the situation.

That may well change now, because RMC Sport claim Navas will be out of action for at least a month after dislocating his shoulder.

The injury was revealed by Costa Rica coach Ronald Gonzalez to Marca.

“We must respect PSG’s opinion. He can have a full pre-season with Paris Saint-Germain and hopefully get back to his best by September.”

Navas just extended his contract until June 2024, which seemingly ruled PSG out of the running for Donnarumma.

However, concerns over this latest injury setback could lead them to reconsider, especially as the Ligue 1 season is due to begin on August 7.
