Napoli are increasingly turning their focus towards Kepa Arrizabalaga of Chelsea, as problems pile up for PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas, including an ill-timed injury.

The Partenopei are seeking a big name shot-stopper at a low cost, as after the departure of David Ospina, they do not entirely trust Alex Meret to be first choice.

Navas is the main candidate, especially as negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain continue for Fabian Ruiz too, but it is becoming increasingly unlikely.

Napoli are only prepared to pay circa half his current €9m per season salary and the Costa Rica international could move for a small fee, on loan with option to buy, or even terminate his contract early by mutual consent.

The talks are dragging on and Navas was left out of this weekend’s Ligue 1 game due to a back injury.

That is proving more serious than previously thought and he continues treatment and tests today.

All that is pushing Napoli towards their other target, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa, who would be available on loan with half his salary paid for by the Premier League side.

  1. Napoli have signed Sirigu. Why are they chasing Navas and esp why would they chase a bad seed like Kepa. They should invest elsewhere in the team unless they are looking longer term which neither Navas (age) or Kepa (troublemaker) would be.
