Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from the Nations League, as Italy host Israel knowing a victory could potentially secure their place in the quarter-finals.

It kicks off at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Azzurri are unbeaten after away wins over France and Israel, but were held to a 2-2 draw by Belgium on Thursday when Lorenzo Pellegrini saw red and a two-goal cushion was allowed to slip.

If the Nazionale win today and France beat Belgium, it’ll mean the lowest Luciano Spalletti’s men can finish in the group is second, guaranteeing a place in the new Nations League quarter-final stage.

FT: Belgium 1-2 France

Les Bleus hang on down to 10 men after Tchouameni’s red card.

Luciano Spalletti

“I think we had fits and starts, but didn’t finish the chances that we created that were pretty clear. It’s not easy to get one-on-one with the opponents that often, especially when they defend that deep.

“Those who came on did well, we could’ve scored a lot more goals, but that’s fine. There were some errors to create a couple of problems, but we otherwise did well with preventative marking and ran few risks.

“We know that you would love to win games 10-0, but there are opponents too and we have to deal with them too.

“There are two very tough games coming up. If Belgium win both their games, they’re right up there, so we need to get a result.”

Giovanni Di Lorenzo

“It was already exciting just wearing the armband, so two goals as well makes it remarkable. I will remember this night for the rest of my life.

“Tough moments come for all players, mine was last season, but I tried to keep going. People got a bit fixated on last season and didn’t realise I have done well so far this term. It was a tough game today, but we made it look simple.”
