Another new candidate has emerged as Napoli try to replace Kim Min-jae, the latest being Brazilian Natan from Red Bull Bragantino.

According to Sky Sport Italia, talks are already underway for Natan Bernardo de Souza.

He is not a complete stranger to the transfer gossip mill in Italy, having already been close to Roma last season.

The asking price is expected to be over €8m with a substantial percentage of the sell-on fee added on, circa 20 per cent.

Natan is 22 years old and his contract with Red Bull Bragantino runs to December 2025.

He came up through the Flamengo youth academy and was sold to Bragantino in January 2022 for €3.5m.

Napoli sold Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich for €50m, but seem determined to get another bargain on his replacement, looking at and refusing to pay the asking price for several alternatives, including Max Kilman of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Kevin Danso can be ruled out of the running, as he has agreed a new contract to stay at RC Lens.
