Napoli are trying to find the right move for Diego Demme and are reportedly working on a loan deal with Salernitana.

The 31-year-old German midfielder has barely featured under Luciano Spalletti this season, only playing 19 minutes of action across three Serie A appearances. Demme missed the start of this campaign with a foot injury and has now fallen down the pecking order in the Campania capital, prompting him to ask for a temporary move away in January.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Salernitana are interested in picking up Demme on loan and are currently talking out the details of a deal with Napoli. The idea would be to attach a buy option to his move and the two parties still need to agree upon the figures.

Demme joined Napoli in January 2020 from RB Leipzig in a deal worth around €10.25m. Since his arrival, the German midfielder has made 85 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
