Lorenzo Insigne assures Napoli will ‘fight to the end’ to lift the Scudetto this season.
The Partenopei had a poor start to the season, but have been in sparkling form in recent weeks, beating Milan 4-0 at San Siro on Thursday, with Insigne getting two goals and an assist.
“I’ve enjoyed the praise after San Siro,” Insigne smiled in a Press conference while on Italy duty.
“When I went off even the Milan fans applauded. I hope to continue like this. I made a lot of sacrifices as a child.

“I didn’t like going to school, and in the afternoon I was training in the Napoli youth teams. The sacrifices have paid off.
“I used to sell things on the streets, I’d sell clothes. But it was always fun at home. Now I hope to improve even more.
“It’s early, we’re doing well now, but we move forward with caution. Of course, we’ll fight to the end. I’ve always said I want to stay at Napoli as long as possible. That’s the dream of any Neapolitan kid.
“At the beginning I had problems with the fans, but it’s all in the past and I’m just thinking about doing well for Napoli and Naples.
“I never thought about leaving Napoli, I just reacted to the whistles sometimes because I’m Napoli’s biggest fan.
“[Coach Maurizio] Sarri is giving us so much, he gives us determination and takes care of the tactical details.
“He just understands football.”
There has been some speculation that the club could even give Diego Maradona’s number 10 shirt to Insigne, with the jersey having been retired since 2000 in honour of the Argentine.
“I don’t want to be compared with Maradona, he’s the best of all time. The 10 would be both a pressure and something emotional, but now I have 24 and I’m not thinking about it.”
