The Algerian has been linked with a move to Ligue 1, with Olympique Marseille reportedly interested.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio states the Partenopei risk being trumped by Watford, who would have already “initiated contact” over a transfer.

The 27-year-old played the opening 45 minutes of the Rossoneri’s 5-0 drubbing against Atalanta just before the winter break.

They were his first for Milan since the derby defeat to Inter at the end of September.
