Napoli have seemingly told Fabian Ruiz that if he doesn’t agree a transfer to PSG this month, he will be left in the stands until January.

The midfielder is under contract until June 2023 and turned down the most recent proposal for an extension.

Negotiations continue with PSG, also complicated by the situation for goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who would come to the Partenopei on loan with some of his salary paid for by the parent club.

Meanwhile, RAI Sport and Tuttomercatoweb now suggest Napoli have informed Fabian Ruiz he will be left in the stands until the January transfer window unless he agrees a move in August.

The Spain international was already left out of the squad for the opening Serie A game of the season against Verona.

It would certainly not be the first time that Napoli have taken such extreme measures, as they did live up to their threat when it came to Arkadiusz Milik.
