The Partenopei captain has admitted to being tempted by a move to the Far East, where it’s believed he has an offer from Guangzhou R & F.

Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep Hamsik, while President Aurelio De Laurentiis won’t consider offers below €30m.

The issue for any Chinese club is that there’s a 100 per cent tax on transfers, whereby they must deposit the value of any transfer fee into a fund which aids the development of young Chinese players.

That means that Hamsik’s actual cost would be in excess of €60m, before salary is even taken into account.
