These Napoli vs. Fiorentina predictions feature two in-form sides clashing at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Serie A on Sunday. The hosts have won their last three games, while the visitors are unbeaten in their last four Serie A fixtures.

Napoli vs. Fiorentina odds

1 – Napoli to win – 4/5

2 – Over 2.5 goals – 9/10

3 – Osimhen to score anytime – 6/5

4 – Both teams to score – 13/16

5 – Penalty in a match – 13/8

Napoli are just one point off top spot in Serie A as they prepare to host Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon. The Partenopei put in a resounding performance to overcome Atalanta in their last game and will be keen to carry their form forwards.

Luciano Spalletti’s side looked at their absolute best on Sunday and more than matched their opponents’ energy. With the side only likely to improve this weekend thanks to the returning Victor Osimhen and Amir Rrahmani, the hosts overwhelmingly merit a punt to secure three points against Fiorentina.

This fixture tends to throw up interesting scorelines, with the most recent meeting in the Coppa Italia finishing 5-2 to the Viola. The cup result was somewhat of an outlier in terms of the result though, as Napoli have won four out of the last five Serie A meetings between the clubs. However, it is by no means an uncharacteristically high-scoring match for meetings between these two.

In fact, over the last six meetings between the sides, there have been 27 goals scored, averaging out at 4.5 per game. For this reason, we recommend a bet on yet another high-scoring fixture this weekend, with over 2.5 goals being a conservative wager.

One such provider of goals is likely to be Osimhen, with the Napoli forward likely to be raring to go after missing the last game though suspension. The forward has also missed a number of games through injury this season, yet is already in double figures for the Azzurri. Since the departure of Dusan Vlahovic, Fiorentina have no such prolific striker, so Osimhen is our favourite to score anytime on Sunday.

Of course, the Viola should by no means be written off, as not only have they already beaten Napoli once this season, but they have taken three points off Atalanta and one off Inter in recent months. Cristiano Biraghi has been prolific from free-kicks, while Lucas Torreira has two goals in his last three games. As a result, Napoli may struggle to add to their impressive defensive record, which is why we can see both teams scoring on Sunday.

Finally, it’s worth placing a bet on a potential spot kick this weekend, with Napoli receiving yet another against Atalanta to keep them top of the penalty charts. Fiorentina are not far behind however and have been awarded nine this season.

Napoli team news

Victor Osimhen returns following his one-match suspension, with Dries Mertens dropping to the bench despite a strong performance against Atalanta. Injuries to Alex Meret, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Adam Ounas and Andrea Petagna limit Luciano Spalletti’s options across the pitch, although Amir Rrahmani and Fabian Ruiz should both be available to start this weekend.

Fiorentina team news

Vincenzo Italiano is without Alvaro Odriozola for Saturday’s game, meaning another start for Lorenzo Venuti at right-back, while Giacomo Bonaventura also misses out. Neither of the new signings Jonathan Ikone and Krzysztof Piatek saw any minutes against Empoli and both may start on the bench this Sunday.
