The Serie A leaders will be the big favourites in the Napoli vs. Bologna predictions, with the Partenopei still unbeaten after nine games. Bologna, on the other hand, are struggling and could really do with a good performance on Sunday.

Napoli vs. Bologna odds

1 – Napoli to win to nil – 11/10

2 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 4/7

3 – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score at any time – 7/4

4 – Both teams not to score  – 4/5

5 – Half time/Full time Napoli/Napoli – 5/6

It is very difficult to bet against Napoli at the moment, with Luciano Spalletti’s side sitting pretty at the top of Serie A and dispensing with all opponents with apparent ease. Bologna will have to do very well to take even a point from this one.

Napoli have won their last five straight games in the league and will be hugely confident of making it six against a poor Bologna side. A win to nil cannot be discounted – and there could well be a few goals as well.

Spalletti’s side has managed to find the net on nine occasions in just the last three Serie A games – and has done even better in the Champions League. Signing of the season Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has weighed in with more than his fair share and will fancy his chances this weekend too.

Thiago Motta is the head coach tasked with figuring out how to stop this Napoli juggernaut. He will be pleased that his team finally picked up their first point under his stewardship thanks to the draw with Sampdoria last week. But much more is needed to climb away from the bottom three.

That seems unlikely to happen this weekend and it may be much more of a damage limitation exercise for the Rossoblu. An incredible defensive performance will be needed – and the hope of Marko Arnautović sneaking a goal at the other end at some point.

But Napoli should be in complete control at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday and keep up their march to a possible third Scudetto.

Napoli team news

Spalletti will have to do without centre-back Amir Rrahmani for a while after the Kosovo international ruptured a tendon against Cremonese. Leo Skiri Østigård should come in at the back but Victor Osimhen will probably be on the bench after recovering from his own injury.

Bologna team news

Musa Barrow will probably not be fit enough to return to the Bologna side this weekend. But that looks like being the only injury problem for Thiago Motta. The starting eleven should be largely the one that began against Sampdoria.
