Modelling the kit at today’s launch was Jonathan de Guzman, Lorenzo Insigne and new signing David Lopez and commented on by head of marketing at the club, Alessandro Formisano.

“The shirt, as you can see, is designed as if it were a pair of trousers,” Formisano has told reporters.

“We have included on the kit the same details as a pair of denim pants. It will be ideal for going to the stadium.

“And I can tell you that on Sunday this shirt will debut at the San Paolo. The shirt will be in stores from tomorrow.”

Formisano, whilst confirming that there is ‘every intention’ for Napoli to continue their relationship with kit manufacturers Macron into the future, also confirmed that difficulty in reading name and numbering on the new home kit is an issue the club have ‘already taken steps to change’.
