Napoli have become something of a cursed club for Milan on home turf, failing to beat the Partenopei here in Serie A for a decade.

They meet again this evening at San Siro, kicking off at 19.45 GMT.

This is a head-to-head for European ambitions, although the Rossoneri seem solid in third place and could even try to close on Juventus in second.

However, Napoli have an extraordinary recent record in this fixture, as they are unbeaten at the Stadio Meazza in Serie A since a 2-0 result in December 2014.

That was followed by five away victories and three stalemates in the league.

Napoli emerged with all three points in each of their last three Serie A trips to Milan, scoring four goals and conceding only one.

This only stands for Serie A, of course, as Milan beat Napoli 2-0 here in the Coppa Italia quarter-final in January 2019 and the most important success was 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final in April 2023.

The biggest Napoli victory here was 4-0 in October 2015, including a Lorenzo Insigne brace, Allan strike and Rodrigo Ely own goal.

In the last decade, Napoli have scored 11 goals in their eight Serie A visits to the Stadio Meazza, whereas Milan netted only three.
