André-Frank Zambo Anguissa has proven himself to be one of the most important players in Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli squad and he’s reportedly set to be rewarded with a new contract.

The 26-year-old Cameroonian midfielder joined the club on loan from Fulham last summer and impressed in his debut season, earning a permanent move this summer. This season, Anguissa has been a vital part of Spalletti’s squad in the Campania capital, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 13 games across Serie A and the Champions League.

As reported by journalist Nicolo Schira, Napoli are in detailed talks with Anguissa regarding a new contract and are close to agreeing the terms of the deal, which’ll see the 26-year-old’s salary rise to €2.7m net per season plus add-ons and last until 2027.

Anguissa is a creative and progressive midfielder, producing an average of 2.22 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes, 51.0 completed pass per 90, 1.16 completed dribbles per 90 this campaign.
