Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will meet with Walter Mazzarri today as he looks for the right replacement for Rudi Garcia.

Gianluca Di Marzio details how the Partenopei president offered a seven-month contract to Igor Tudor yesterday, who agreed to take on the role after the decision to sack Garcia. The French coach has now returned to Nice to be with his partner and their daughter.

De Laurentiis has not made a decision yet, however, and will meet with Mazzarri today to discuss the idea of bringing back the Italian tactician, who would be willing to sign until the end of the season without any contract extension clauses.

Mazzarri previously spent four years with Napoli from October 2009 to May 2013, overseeing 182 games. He won a Coppa Italia in the Campania capital in the 2011-12 season.

Tudor is still waiting for a response from De Laurentiis, who is seemingly tempted by the idea of bringing back the Italian coach.
