Napoli to improve Kvaratskhelia contract amid Liverpool and Man Utd interest

With clubs already sniffing around Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli are expected to offer him a new and improved contract to lock down the Georgia international.

The 21-year-old has been the revelation of European football so far this season, contributing eight goals and 10 assists in just 17 games between Serie A and the Champions League.

He was purchased from Dinamo Batumi for just €10m over the summer, a deal negotiated some months earlier as soon as he left Rubin Kazan in March due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

According to Il Mattino newspaper, Napoli director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli is already at work to offer Kvaratskhelia a new and improved contract to stave off any interest from clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

His current deal runs to June 2027 and does not have a release clause, earning just €1.2m per season gross.

The salary would be increased and further augmented with added bonuses based on goals and assists.

It’s reported the initial discussions have already been held with Kvaratskhelia’s agents.
