Napoli’s incredible work this campaign sees them sit third in UEFA’s country coefficient rankings for the 2022-23 season, 10 places ahead of the second highest ranking Italian side.

The Partenopei started this season in electric fashion under Luciano Spalletti, flying to the top of the Serie A table with 13 wins and two draws in their first 15 outings. Napoli have looked equally impressive in the Champions League, booking their spot in the Round of 16 with a dominant group stage performance, winning five of their six games.

The seasonal club coefficients are based on the results of clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. The rankings, combined with those of the previous four seasons, determines the seeding for each club in UEFA competition draws.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli’s incredible Champions League work sees them sit third in UEFA’s rankings for the 2022-23 season, just behind Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

The next highest ranked Italian team is Milan in 13th, with Inter just behind in 16th. Fiorentina sit in 37th place and Roma in 44th. The lowest ranked Serie A club is Juventus, sitting in 64th.
