The Napoli search for a striker is taking them towards Celta Vigo and Norway international Jorgen Strand Larsen, claim reports in Spain.

The 24-year-old has also been linked with a Serie A move for Bologna, but the Partenopei are now in the running for his signature.

According to Relevo, there is a release clause in the contract with Celta Vigo worth €50m, but the club is prepared to discuss a deal for circa €25-30m.

Strand Larsen fits Napoli characteristics

Strand Larsen proved decisive in keeping Celta Vigo in LaLiga, having contributed 13 goals and three assists in 37 games this season.

With Antonio Conte set to become the new coach of Napoli, he wants a strong centre-forward who can hold up the ball by himself.

The Norwegian would certainly fit that bill, standing at 1.93 metres tall and bringing the kind of physical power that is quite rare in Serie A.

Celta Vigo signed him from FC Groningen for €12.4m back in the summer of 2022.
