Napoli winger Hirving Lozano sustained a shoulder injury during Mexico-Panama last night and could remain out of action for two months.

The 26-year-old was stretchered off the pitch in the second half with his right arm immobilized after picking a knock and falling on his shoulder.

He was taken to the hospital to undergo medical examinations and Napoli have confirmed with an official statement that the Mexico international has suffered a shoulder dislocation.

“The dislocation was reduced at the hospital and the player will be assessed upon his return to Italy,” Napoli statement read.

It remains to be seen which actions will be taken by Napoli’s medical staff, but Lozano could remain out of action for two months if he undergoes surgery.

Both Dries Mertens and Victor Osimhen went under the knife in the past for similar injuries.
