Napoli midfielder Diego Demme underwent a successful knee surgery at Villa Stuart today and will rest for 10 days before starting the rehabilitation.

The Partenopei have announced the German midfielder, who suffered a knee ligament injury during the friendly match against Pro Vercelli, had to undergo surgery to correct the issue.

Demme was accompanied by the Azzurri Health Manager Raffaele Canonico and the surgery was carried out by Professor Mariani at Villa Stuart.

The midfielder had to fix his medial collateral ligament in the right knee and the intervention was successful.

The official statement reveals Demme will now observe a period of seven to 10 days of rest and will then start his rehabilitation.
