There are multiple reports that Napoli have agreed terms to sign Marco Davide Faraoni from Hellas Verona.

Sportitalia and Tuttomercatoweb are confident a move will be completed within days.

Verona are expected to pocket circa €3m for Faraoni, who in turn can sign a three-year contract at €1m per season.

The right-back is seen as the understudy to captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo and will turn 32 in October.

He can also play on the left of defence and started out in the Inter youth academy, then playing for Udinese, Watford, Perugia, Novara and Crotone before coming to Verona in 2019.

Last season, Faraoni made 25 appearances and scored three goals – including in the Serie A relegation play-off against Spezia – and provided three assists.
