The big summit in London has concluded, but Napoli still don’t have an agreement with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, despite his agent’s presence.

Director Giovanni Manna was there along with Lukaku’s representative to discuss what everyone expected would be the final details of the transfer.

However, Sky Sport Italia report that the encounter has finished and there is still no agreement.

Why Chelsea are refusing Lukaku transfer

The big problem seems to be not so much the cost, as Napoli hope Chelsea will accept €30m including add-ons rather than the €45m asking price, but the formula of the deal.

It is suggested the issue is whether Napoli make it a permanent buy rather than their preferred loan with option or obligation at the end of the season.

Part of that is because Chelsea can only have so many players out on loan in a single season and their over-sized squad has numerous players who need to be found new clubs.

Another meeting is therefore planned, probably for tomorrow, and the Belgian remains confident he will eventually get the reunion with former Inter coach Antonio Conte.
