Victor Osimhen was one of the stars of the show in Nigeria’s dominant 10-0 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.

The 23-year-old Nigerian forward will not be taking part in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar following the Super Eagles’ recent qualification heartbreak, but he’s still hard at working helping the team secure qualification to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Osimhen scored a poker in the match against Sao Tome and Principe today, netting twice in the first half and twice in the second. His opposition are currently ranked 183rd in FIFA’s world rankings, 153 places below Nigeria.

The Napoli forward has made 23 caps for the Super Eagles since his debut in 2017, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in that time. He looks set to lead Nigeria’s line for many years to come.

Osimhen is coming off a strong season under Luciano Spalletti, where he netted 18 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
