Victor Osimhen is playing a leading role in Napoli’s Scudetto charge and he’s not far away from activating a valuable goal bonus in his contract.

The 24-year-old Nigerian striker has been on fire in the Campania capital this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 16 Serie A appearances. He’s a perfect fit for Luciano Spalletti’s fluid and thrilling system at Napoli and his work will likely see the team lift their first Scudetto in over three decades.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Osimhen has a clause in his Napoli contract that’ll see him earn €130,000 for scoring at least 20 goals in Serie A, with an extra €130,000 for every five goals more.

A motivating bonus that’ll likely see the Nigerian striker earn over €5m net this season. He has a base salary of €4.25m, plus image rights and the €260,000 Champions League qualification bonus.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis has also promised his players ‘a gift’ should they secure the league title this season, as a Scudetto clause has only been included in Spalletti’s contract.
