Napoli are looking to sign Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello as Luigi Sepe looks for a way out.

The 24-year-old playing for La Dea is an uncharacteristically relaxed transfer target for the Partenopei, who have had to battle tooth and nail for almost everyone else they tried to sign this summer.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Sportiello's agent had a meeting with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli yesterday. Atalanta will attempt to make the maximum amount of cash from the deal as possible, while Napoli are hoping to lower the price by adding a player such as Omar El Kaddouri or Alberto Grassi.

The signing of Sportiello will happen alongside the departure of Sepe, who is increasingly frustrated with his experience at the club.

“Giuntoli wasn't straight with us,” the player's agent Mario Giuffredi told Repubblica. “He always told us that Sepe would be competing with Rafael to be the second goalkeeper after Pepe Reina, but that is not the case. He won't stay here to be the third goalkeeper.”
