Injuries and suspensions leave Luciano Spalletti short of options for Napoli‘s upcoming match against Atalanta.

The Azzurri are fully involved in the title race being just three points behind leaders Milan. They’ll face a tough task at the weekend, visiting Atalanta in Bergamo.

Spalletti will be without the suspended Amir Rrahmani and Victor Osimhen, while Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Alex Meret and Andrea Petagna are injured. But there could be more.

Zambo Anguissa, Piotr Zielinski, Fabian Ruiz and Adam Ounas will be assessed over the next few days as they are not fully fit. The Poland international was forced off the pitch in the final minutes of his national team’s win over Sweden in the World Cup play-offs on Tuesday night and it’s unlikely to see him play against La Dea.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Anguissa and Ruiz will start, while Stanis Lobotka will replace Zielinski and Dries Mertens will start up front.

Napoli’s probable XI vs. Atalanta: Ospina; Zanoli, Koulibaly, Juan Jesus, Mario Rui; Fabian Ruiz, Lobotka, Anguissa; Politano, Mertens, Insigne.
