It has been a rough few days for Napoli, with news they were one of several Italian clubs deferred to the Disciplinary Commission after a capital gains investigation into inflated transfer fees used to balance books.
“We are very relaxed, we followed all the rules and there is nothing to be concerned about,” Giuntoli told DAZN.
Napoli were also in the news due to suggestions Osimhen had returned later than expected from international duty with Nigeria.
The club confirmed the forward, who is suspended today anyway, arrived back in Italy this morning.
“We don’t understand why there is controversy around this, because he was given permission to take time off after international duty and he arrived on schedule.
“He is an extraordinary lad, a great professional, so the question ought to be why these things emerge in the media. Of course there won’t be a fine, he was given permission.”
