Napoli do not want to lose star striker Victor Osimhen this summer and have started to set up a meeting with his agent.

The 24-year-old Nigerian striker played a vital role in the Partenopei’s Scudetto success this season, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 32 Serie A appearances, promoting him to a legendary status in the Campania capital.

Napoli have been in a state of change since winning their third ever Serie A title. Coach Luciano Spalletti has left the club, sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is keen to depart and star defender Kim Min-Jae is expected to move on, forcing Aurelio De Laurentiis to rebuild things this summer.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, De Laurentiis has no intention of selling Osimhen this summer and so has started to plan out a meeting with his agent, which’ll possibly be held next week, to discuss a new contract for the striker.

Osimhen is currently contracted to Napoli until 2025 and is valued by the club at around €120m, a figure they hope will be enough to ward off interest in the upcoming summer transfer window.
