Napoli are looking for a replacement for Hirving Lozano and have identified Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo as a strong option, reports suggest.

The Partenopei are seemingly in a state of flux following their recent Scudetto success, with Luciano Spalletti departing for Rudi Garcia and director Cristiano Giuntoli edging closer to a move to Juventus.

In the squad, Kim Min-Jae seems destined to depart in the coming months and there are endless rumours surrounding star striker Victor Osimhen, who would cost around €150m. Lozano has also been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW details how Napoli are searching for replacements for Lozano and believe Kubo may be the perfect choice to strengthen Rudi Garcia’s squad this summer.

Valued at around €20m, the 22-year-old Japanese forward scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 35 La Liga appearances this season.

Alternatives to Kubo include Empoli’s Tommaso Baldanzi, Villarreal’s Yeremi Pino and Lille’s Edon Zhegrova.

  1. Take will not leave Real Sociedad. He has played in Spain for many years but it is only at Real has be been successful. They have believed in him and their style of play suits him perfectly. They are a very financially secure club who don’t need the money his departure would raise. Take is very happy in San Sebastián and will stay.
