His agent, Pablo Bentancur, had told CalcioNapoli24 in June that Nandez was enthusiastic about the idea of coming to the Stadio San Paolo.
“Probably two of the most high-pressure jerseys in the world to wear are Boca Juniors and Napoli. He had no problems settling in at Boca, as he is world class and can give so much more.
“I’d be very happy to see him join Napoli.”
Cagliari signed Nandez from Boca last summer for €18m, but there has been some debate with his old club over bonuses and percentages of future transfer fees.
