Atletico Madrid and PSG are reportedly interested in Napoli‘s Fabian Ruiz, while Manchester City won’t open talks with the Partenopei due to Jorginho’s collapsed transfer to the Etihad Stadium three years ago.

The Italy international was on the verge of joining Manchester City in 2018, but the Partenopei eventually reached an agreement with Chelsea that saw both the playmaker and coach Maurizio Sarri move to Stamford Bridge.

From that moment, the relationship between Napoli and Manchester City has fallen apart, meaning the 2021 Champions League Finalists won’t open talks to sign Fabian Ruiz despite Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the 25-year-old.

Napoli open talks over signing Berge

According to the Rome-based paper, Napoli value Ruiz at €60m and would prefer to sell him over Kalidou Koulibaly.

PSG and Atletico Madrid are interested in securing his services, but it remains to be seen if they match Napoli’s demands.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, suitors are not likely to pay as much to secure Fabian Ruiz services, also due to his lack of playing time during Euro 2020.

Sheffield United’s Sander Berge and Sampdoria‘s Morten Thorsby are the leading candidates to replace Ruiz, should the Spain international leave the Stadio Maradona in the summer.
