In the Partenopei’s return to League action from the winter break, Rafa Benitez has had to make do without Pepe Reina, Marek Hamsik and Valon Behrami with continued injury issues.

To welcome Samp to the San Paolo for Monday’s lunchtime kick-off, the Spaniard has listed Mertens, Callejon and Insigne in an attacking trio to support lone striker Higuain.

Gokhan Inler and Blerim Dzemaili are the midfield duo, whilst Federico Fernandez partners Raul Albiol at centre-back.

Meanwhile, Anthony Reveillere is handed a fourth start for the club since his November arrival.

Sinisa Mihajlovic is speculated as lining up Eder in a ‘false nine’ tactic in attack, and has supported him with Manolo Gabbiadini, Nenad Krsticic and Roberto Soriano.

Starting line-ups

Napoli: Rafael; Maggio, Fernandez, Albiol, Reveillere; Inler, Dzemaili; Mertens, Callejon, Insigne; Higuain

Sampdoria: Da Costa; De Silvestri, Mustafi, Gastaldello, Regini; Obiang, Palombo; Gabbiadini, Krsticic, Soriano; Eder
