Gennaro Gattuso enacts a tactical revolution, changing to the 3-4-3 formation to take on Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

According to Napoli reporter Claudio Russo, it is the first time Napoli have started a competitive match with a three-man defence since May 2013.

The final game of the Mazzarri era was a 2-1 defeat to Roma on May 19, 2013.

Rafa Benitez, Maurizio Sarri and Carlo Ancelotti all stood by four at the back, as did Gattuso until now, varying only during a match.
