Napoli have released a new ‘No to Racism’ video clip on social media ahead of their visit from Atalanta in Serie A on Saturday, asserting that the club ‘will not stay silent’ on these sorts of issues.

The topic of discrimination has been at the forefront in the Napoli camp in recent weeks, following the FIGC’s decision to acquit Inter defender Francesco Acerbi following allegations of racist comments from Partenopei centre-back Juan Jesus.

Napoli have begun to take their own stances when it comes to anti-racism campaigns. The team will not wear the league’s Keep Racism Out patches on their kit as a result of the Acerbi verdict as they pledge to stand by Juan Jesus by whatever means necessary.

The club’s latest comments on the issue have come via a short social media clip, which was accompanied by the following caption:

“We believe in a world where equality and respect are not just a vain illusion, but concrete and universally recognized principles.

“For this to happen we must not remain silent. Tomorrow is the right opportunity to raise our voice and all together say NO to racism.”
