Napoli want to pick up Kevin Danso to replace Kim Min-Jae and are ready to raise their offer to RC Lens, reports suggest.

The Partenopei sold star centre back Kim to Bayern Munich earlier this month for €50m, leaving a gap hole in Rudi Garcia’s backline.

Napoli have carefully considered a number of options to replace the South Korean defender and have highlighted Danso as their preferred option, appreciating his strong work with Lens last season.

As reported by TMW, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will submit a new offer to Lens for Danso in the coming days, keen to try and secure his signature before the start of the 2023-24 season.

The 24-year-old Austrian centre back has already agreed to the terms of a contract with the Partenopei, who are confident that a deal can be agreed soon.

Lens are hoping for around €30m for Danso, who is contracted to the club until June 2026.
