Multiple reports in Italy claim Napoli have reached a verbal agreement with Hellas Verona to sign Cyril Ngonge.

TMW and Gianluca Di Marzio claim the two clubs reached an agreement overnight. It is a deal worth €10m plus bonuses, which could raise the final fee to €15m.

According to TMW club Presidents Aurelio De Laurentiis and Maurizio Setti ‘directly’ negotiated and reached a verbal agreement last night.

Ngonge will now negotiate personal terms with the defending Serie A champions who have already signed Pasquale Mazzocchi from Salernitana and are ready to welcome Hamed Junior Traorè on an initial loan deal with an option to buy from Bournemouth.

Ngoge had also been linked with Fiorentina.

The 23-year-old has scored six goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season. He will be the fifth player to leave the Stadio Bentegodi in January after Isak Hien, Filippo Terracciano, Martin Hongla, and Marco Davide Faraoni.

Josh Doig is also expected to leave Verona this month, heading to Marseille or Torino.
