According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have raised the price tag for Arsenal and Manchester United target Victor Osimhen and Gianluca Scamacca is their primary target if the Nigeria international departs.

Osimhen has been one of the Partenopei’s crucial players this season, with 15 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions. He missed almost two months of action between November and January due to a cheekbone injury, but Luciano Spalletti somehow managed to replace him. On Sunday, Osimhen was suspended and Napoli secured a 3-1 win away at Atalanta.

Napoli are aware of the interest of many European clubs in their striker, especially from the Premier League. Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper confirms Newcastle United offered circa €100m to secure his services in January, but Napoli didn’t want to sell.

Previous reports in Italy claimed €100m would have been enough at the end of the season to sign the 23-year-old, but the Rome-based paper now reports that Napoli have raised the price tag for their star striker.

Arsenal and Manchester United are strongly interested in Osimhen, but Napoli won’t sell for less than €120m. If ‘Osi’ departs in the summer, the Partenopei would pounce on Sassuolo‘s Gianluca Scamacca, described as Spalletti’s No.1 target to replace Osimhen. Scamacca has also been linked with Inter and Milan.
