Napoli are working to quickly close out a deal for Bournemouth midfielder Hamed Junior Traore, who is also wanted by Milan and Roma.
The Ivorian midfielder shined during his four years with Sassuolo, attracting the attention of a number of clubs in Serie A, but he switched Italy for England last January, joining Bournemouth on a six-month loan deal with a €25m permanence clause attached.
Traore has failed to break into the Bournemouth squad this season, seeing just 181 minutes of action across six games. His last Premier League appearance came at the end of September and in recent weeks he’s been sidelined due to malaria.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are in advanced talks with Bournemouth for Traore, currently negotiating the figures of a possible deal. Milan and Roma are both keen on the 23-year-old and could emerge in the coming days to complicate matters.
The Partenopei are keen to add the Ivorian midfielder to Walter Mazzarri’s squad as soon as possible, appreciating his tactical flexibility and knowledge of the Italian topflight.
