Napoli are pushing for Simone Verdi, so Roberto Inglese could remain at Chievo until the end of the season, reports suggest.
The Partenopei have already signed Inglese, but they loaned him back to the Flying Donkeys for this season.
It was expected that he would join up with Maurizio Sarri’s squad six months early, but it appears the club may now have switched their attention to Verdi.

It was expected that he would join up with Maurizio Sarri’s squad six months early, but it appears the club may now have switched their attention to Verdi.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, the Neapolitans are pushing hard to sign the Bologna man in January, and he is no longer ruling out a winter move.
Verdi has been given guarantees that he would see playing time between now and the end of the season, something he was concerned about after the experience of Leonardo Pavoletti.
Gazzetta reports that this interest could see Inglese remain in Verona, something which would delight Chievo as they’re struggling to find a replacement.
Initially it had been suggested that Arkadiusz Milik could be loaned to the Gialloblu, but he could be ready to start working with Sarri’s squad after the winter break and the Coach would prefer to have the Pole available.
