Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis was satisfied with the draw against Roma on Sunday, as he reportedly congratulated the team personally for remaining unbeaten in the league.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the President is pleased with the development under coach Luciano Spalletti and was happy with the performance at the Olimpico.

Roma held Napoli to a 0-0 draw in the Italian capital and the newspaper reveals De Laurentiis came down from the stands to congratulate his team in person.

Spalletti ‘devastated’ by red card

He came into the dressing room to personally praise the players, who has just finished the first match without a win in Serie A this campaign.

But the whole environment seemed pleased with another solid performance, as the Partenopei kept their sixth clean sheet in nine games and added one more point on the board.

Coach Spalletti wanted to applaud the players after the match too, as the Azzurri now swiftly turn their attention on the home game against Bologna on Thursday night.
