Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis announced on Sunday night that players and staff members will no longer release pre and post-match interviews with DAZN: ‘We’ll only talk to Sky and Rai.’

De Laurentiis briefly showed up at the Stadio Maradona press room on Sunday night following Napoli’s win over Juventus.

Several Italian sources, including Il Corriere dello Sport, reported that ADL looked irritable and said Napoli players would no longer release interviews with DAZN.

“We are done with DAZN; we’ll only talk to Sky and Rai,” said the Napoli owner.

De Laurentiis was furious before kick-off when he was caught on camera inside the tunnel. However, according to La Repubblica journalist Marco Azzi, this is not why De Laurentiis will no longer allow his players to talk to DAZN.

On Sunday night, Azzi wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that ADL is furious with the Italian broadcasters who scheduled a Napoli home game against Atalanta on March 30 at 11:30 GMT, the day before Easter.

According to Tuttosport, however, the game must be played on March 30 because of Atalanta’s involvement in the Europa League, while ADL wanted to play on April 1, so coach Francesco Calzona would have had more time to prepare the match given that he will be busy with Slovakia national team for the international break.

DAZN broadcasts all ten Serie A games each weekend and has recently won domestic TV rights for Serie A until 2029.

  1. He & Lotito should co-own a club with Mourinho as the coach, Luciano Moggi as sporting director & Wanda Icardi as PR.
