Napoli are serious about Hamed Junior Traorè and they’re preparing a new offer after their first was turned down by Sassuolo.

The 22-year-old Ivorian forward is one of the Partenopei’s priorities for the upcoming summer transfer market, with Luciano Spalletti’s side believing him to be the perfect addition to compliment the attack and fill the void left by Lorenzo Insigne’s departure.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Napoli’s first offer to Sassuolo was €16m plus add-ons but this was quickly turned down, with the club hoping for significantly higher. They’re expecting to sell the plan for around €25-30m, but may settle for lower should the Partenopei find the right formula.

Traore himself is incredibly keen on the move to Naples, enthusiastic about the idea of taking part in the Champions League with an historic club.

New talks are expected in the coming weeks and Napoli are hoping to move fast in order to beat out the interested Roma, who are behind in the race, for now.
