Napoli winger Matteo Politano has recovered from coronavirus and will be available for the busy schedule in December.

The Partenopei strengthened their position at the top of Serie A with an impressive 4-0 win over Lazio on Sunday and are preparing for six games in 22 days until Christmas.

Politano tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the match against Inter at San Siro and, in addition to the match against the Nerazzurri, he missed the following games against Spartak Moscow and Lazio.

The Azzurri have announced he has recovered and is ready to return to Luciano Spalletti’s disposal ahead of the busy programme ahead of Christmas.

Spalletti thus recovers an important attacker ahead of the big game against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium already on Wednesday.

The Partenopei then play Atalanta at the Stadio Diego Maradona, while they face Leicester in Naples for the decisive match in the Europa League on December 9.

Napoli announced on their official website that the former Inter forward has tested ‘negative for COVID-19 and will carry out the required tests by the protocol in force before he joins the group in the next few days’.
