Napoli director Mauro Meluso blames Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent for the bitter row that infuriated Victor Osimhen, but insists the two players ‘are like brothers.’

Osimhen is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty, but still hit the headlines this week with his angry response on Instagram.
Kvaratskhelia’s representative gave an interview where he compared the two stars, suggesting Osimhen will move to Saudi Arabia for the money next season, whereas the Georgia international would never consider such a thing.
“These are private matters, we as a club will not get into it,” director of sport Meluso told DAZN.
“The two players are friends, practically brothers, and evidently some comments that were over the top sparked a reaction, but what happened has little to do with their rapport in the locker room.
“I imagine they already spoke to each other, but I am certain when Osimhen returns from the Africa Cup of Nations, they will greet each other with a big hug.”
Napoli spent the last few days in a training retreat to prepare for the match against Salernitana after their humiliating 3-0 defeat to Torino.
“The retreat helped the squad to spend time together, explain their situations and work hard. We have that bad performance to cancel out, both mentally and above all with three points today.”
Walter Mazzarri is already under pressure after taking over from Rudi Garcia, as the reigning Champions of Italy picked up just one point from their last three Serie A games.
They are also gearing up for the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four in Saudi Arabia next week.
