Napoli are hoping to progress in talks with star forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia during the current international break, as the club have planned talks between the player’s agent and sporting director Giovanni Manna.

Napoli plan new round of Kvaratskhelia contract talks

Kvaratskhelia is on a contract until the summer of 2027 as things stand, but following the mishandling of Victor Osimhen’s contract situation, which led to his departure on loan to Galatasaray this summer, Napoli are keen to get a new deal wrapped up as swiftly as possible.

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto in his Caught Offside Daily Briefing column, Napoli want to avoid ‘another Osimhen situation’.

Though Kvaratskhelia is understood to be happy at Napoli, Moretto suggests that there could be a release clause included in his next deal, following ‘genuine’ interest from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.

‘Kvara’ has enjoyed a positive start to the 2024-25 season, scoring three goals and providing two assists from his first seven league outings. Napoli currently sit at the top of the Serie A table with a two point advantage over Inter in second and a three point gap over Juventus.
